House. Comm. on Petition of W. Vans. Case of William Vans, 1833
SEE ALSO 52225, 52293, 52340 House No. 69 William Vans, originally from Massachusetts, petitioned the Legislature for many years to set aside the
statute of limitations so he could sue an estate. This petition was refused for many years. This time, a committee began work on January 26, 1833
and issued its report on March 21, 1833. There were twenty-two pages of hearings and evidence from domestic and foreign transactions in an extremely
convoluted case. The committee carefully reviewed it all and decided Vans had no case. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the
Massachusetts State Library).
