House. Act to extend time for liquidation of the Brighton Bank, 1833
House No. 57 An Act to extend the time for liquidating the concerns of the Brighton Bank, 1833. The President and Directors were allowed one year
more than allowed by statute to close out the bank. The bank's charter was repealed in 1830 and there was a run on the bank, but all obligations were
paid, including a large dividend. The House considered this on March 7, 1833 and the Senate did the same on march 8, 1833. (Digitized from a
microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
