SEE ALSO 52471 House No. 47 The Committee on Agriculture proposed An Act to encourage the cultivation of silk, 1833. Monetary rewards were
available to farmers who planted and nurtured species of mulberry tree. Each reel of marketable silk fiber was entitled to $1/reel. The local Selectmen
