House. Comm. on Amending the Law on the Lunatic Hospital. Report, 1833
|
|
House No. 32 On January 9, 1833, two representatives asked if it were expedient to allow free admission to the state hospital for lunatics in almshouses. On February 8, 1833, the committee reported that the hospital only had a capacity of 120 patients and there were far too many lunatics scattered around the state to all be in the state hospital, so the request was denied.
