House No. 14 On January 14 and 16, 1833, a Committee of the Judiciary was directed to consider revising the law on endorsement of writs. On January
23, 1833, the Committee submitted a bill requiring a long list of writs to be endorsed by an inhabitant of the Commonwealth. (Digitized from a
microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
Title:   Ordered, that the Judiciary Committee be instructed to consider the expediency of so ammending the act providing for the indorsement of writs in civil actions, that the same may better insure a responsible indorsement of said writs before trial is had thereon.
