Description and Holding Information
Senate. Comm. on Mercantile Affairs and Insurance. Act to incorporate the South Boston Wharf and Dock Co., 1833
Senate No. 51 On March 15, 1833, the Committee on Mercantile Affairs and Insurance reported a bill: An Act to incorporate the "South Boston Wharf
and Dock Company," 1833. Three men and their associates were thus incorporated "with all the powers and requirements." The text marked out an area
for development; the company could acquire or lease property, but could not obstruct other wharves and building. It was allowed 1,000 shares at up to
$200 each; one share was one vote. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
