Senate No. 34 On January 5, 1833, the Committee on Banks and Banking began to consider the part of the Governor's address on bank note
counterfeiting. It presented a bill on February 13, 1833: An Act to regulate the printing of bank bills, 1833. There would be a Bank Note Commissioner to print
bills for all the banks. The state would pay for the new plates, paper, etc. The Commissioner had to watch each print run. All requests from banks
for bills had to be in writing. Banks were supposed to use these bills; if they wanted special markings, they had to pay for it. The Commissioner was
