Senate. Comm. on Banks and Banking. Act to regulate the printing of bank notes, 1833
Senate No. 6 On January 5, 1833 the Committee on Banks and Banking were asked a question and submitted a bill in response. An Act to regulate the
printing of bank notes, 1833. The Committee described the plans for the Commonwealth to take over printing of bills. There was as yet no bank order
for currency, but the Committee insisted the request for additional currency come in written form signed by an official from the bank in question.
