Senate No. 12 On January 8, 1833, the House received requests to equalize Probate Court salaries and remove certain probate fees. The Senate
concurred on January 9, 1833. An Act in addition to an act establishing salaries for Judges and Registers of Probate, 1833. The act listed salaries for
the judges and registers of seven counties; they varied considerably. The Registers were directed to provide necessary forms for free. (Digitized from
a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
Title:   Ordered, that the committee to whom was referred the petition of Theophilus Wheeler, Register of Probate for the county of Worcester, be instructed to equalize the salaries of judges and registers of probate, throughout the Commonwealth, if upon examination it shall be found that said salaries, as now fixed, are unequal.
