Senate No. 8 On January 19, 1833, the Committee on Mercantile Affairs and Insurance reported An Act to incorporate the Lycoming Coal Company, 1833.
Eight men and their associates were incorporated to mine and sell coal within the usual corporate structure and responsibilities with its office in
Suffolk County. The corporation could hold real estate to a value of $150,000 and personal property up to $350,000. (Digitized from a microfilm copy
of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
