SEE ALSO 52298 House No. 52 Report of the Committee of Education on the subject of common schools. The Committee considered whether a fund to
support schools and raise standards might be useful. However, there was little information on the schools because less than one third of them bothered
to send in their annual reports. On March 9, 1832, the Committee sent an Order: At the next Legislature, the Secretary of the Commonwealth will
deliver data on the common schools and will publish a report in the newspapers of record. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the
