SEE ALSO 52317, 52318 House No. 42 On January 26, 1832, the House directed the formation of a committee with representatives from each county to try to figure out adequate representation to result in the number of Representatives between 350 to 400. Fourteen men were appointed on February 14, 1832. An Article of Amendment was presented with another complicated formula for how many Representatives would be chosen for what amount of population. The text was followed by a chart suggesting how many Representatives would be elected from the several towns for a total of about 360.
