House. Act to establish the Boston and Worcester Rail Road, 1832
SEE ALSO 52259 House No. 35 An Act in addition to an act to establish the Boston and Worcester Rail Road Corporation, 1832. The corporation was
authorized to erect a railroad only bridge across the Charles River from Boston to Cambridge. The bridge had to have a 24 hour draw. The corporation
was also authorized to do branch lines as necessary. It was authorized to increase its number of shares if it planned to double track. If the
corporation built a line to Millbury, it would be protected from competition for thirty years. The Commonwealth could purchase the railroad after 20 years
