SEE ALSO 52339, 52341, 52353 House No. 32 The Committee had revised the bill as directed and submitted An Act for the due regulation of licensed
houses and to repeal all former laws, 1832. An innholder or seller of alcohol had to be licensed. There were categories of license holder and rules
for each. The license was renewed each May and civic authorities had to be available for the purpose. The authorities had to decide how many
establishments were appropriate and if an applicant were of good character, and to keep a list of establishments and licensees. The text of the certificate was
included. There were additional rules for innholders. No seller of alcohol was to be open after 10pm or on Sunday or could serve drunks. There was
a list of punishments for offenses. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
