House. Amendment to the Constitution's Article on amendments, 1832
SEE ALSO 52369 House No. 29 This was a complete change to the Article of Amendment. Selectmen, during the meeting of 1834 to vote for Governor,
etc., would poll the voters to ascertain a need to amend the Constitution. If the vote was yes, statewide, the Legislature was to call a
Constitutional Convention. Any product of the convention was to be laid before the voters. This procedure was to occur every ten years in years ending in four.
This was to be the only way to revise the Constitution. [This doesn't exactly say how topics of revision are determined.] (Digitized from a
microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
Title:   After the words in the last line of the first paragraph, "Constitution of this Commonwealth," strike out the whole article of amendment, there proposed, and insert the following article of amendment.
