SEE ALSO 52339 House No. 9 An Act for the due regulation of licensed houses and to repeal all former laws on the subject, 1832. No one can be a victualer, innholder, taverner, or seller of alcohol unless licensed. The license was good for one year and the text was included. The public could challenge the fitness of the licensee. All but retailers had to provide room and board and stabling for strangers. There followed the usual rules about gaming, serving minors, not serving habitual drunks, don't give credit.
