Joint Special Comm. on State Lunatic Asylum. Amendments to bill, 1832
SEE ALSO 52314 Senate No. 35 On March 20, 1832, a Joint Special Committee on State Lunatic Asylum reported a few text amendments and the addition
of two sections to the Act concerning the State Lunatic Hospital. One section required any jail or house of correction that sent a patient to the
hospital to send along all the information known about the person and how long s/he had been confined. The other section told the Superintendent to keep
a daily journal, especially noting information about new arrivals and what treatment was recommended. An abstract of the journal was to be part of
the annual report. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
