Massachusetts Senate. No. 29. On January 10, 1832, three men were named as a Committee to report on the valuation of the Commonwealth and a new
apportionment of the Senate. The Joint Select Committee on Valuation offered: An Act to divide the Commonwealth into districts for the choice of
Counsellors and Senators, 1832. The act created thirteen districts and listed the location of each. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally
held by the Massachusetts State Library).
Title:   Ordered, that Mess. Webster, of Boston, Williams of Northampton, Torrey of Fitchburgh, with such as the Senate may join, be a committee to consider and report upon so much of the Governor's message as relates to the valuations of the Commonwealth, and a new apportionment of the Senate.
