Senate. Comm. on the Judiciary. Act relative to partnerships, 1832
Senate No. 10 The Committee on the Judiciary was to inquire into creating limited partnerships and on January 12, 1832 reported An Act relative to
partnerships, 1832. Limited partnerships of two or more people were allowed as long as they were not for banking or insurance. General partners were
responsible for everything about the enterprise, but special partners were only liable for the amount of money they had contributed. All involved had
to fill in a form and sign at a local magistrate's court. Any dissolution had to be published for a month before it took place. (Digitized from a
microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
