House No. 20 An Act to incorporate the Boston and Providence Rail Road Corporation, 1831. Four men were incorporated as the Boston and Providence
Rail-Road Corporation with the usual rights and responsibilities. The Corporation could issue 2,000 shares of stock at $500/each. The track would run
from Boston to Pautucket or Seekonk and then to Providence. Toll was granted, but the Legislature might alter the amount under certain
circumstances. There was to be an annual meeting and an annual report. The railroad was to be completed by 1838. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title
