House. Act regulating empannelling of jurors in Suffolk County civil cases, 1831
House No. 11 Three men reported An Act regulating the empanelling of jurors in civil causes in the County of Suffolk, 1831. For each civil cause
about to be tried, the clerk would give each party a list of thirty-six potential jurors. Each party was entitled to strike no more than twelve names.
From the remaining names, the clerk would select twelve people for the jury. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the
