SEE ALSO 51757, 51831, 51889, 52195 Senate No. 8 The Committee on Roads and Bridges reported a bill: An Act for the relief of the proprietors of
the Boston South Bridge, 1831. The proprietors were authorized to sell the bridge to the City of Boston for $8,386 by September 15, 1831. If the City
did not pay them by September 15, the proprietors were authorized to give the deed for the bridge to the Commonwealth, dismantle the bridge deck,
sell all the materiel associated with the bridge, and divide the proceeds among the shareholders. The corporation would then be dissolved. (Digitized
