SEE ALSO 52163, 52182 House No. 50 From the Senate An Act to continue the banking corporations named therein and for other purposes, 1831. The
fifty-six banking corporations named were continued until 1851. No individual or corporation was to hold more than 50% of a bank's stock. Corporations
that held bank stock might have to make good losses caused by mismanagement. The act was passed by the Senate on February 19, 1831. (Digitized from a
