House No. 39 A Select Joint Committee with two Senators and three Representatives reported that petitions had been received to enclose the Cambridge
Commons or to take small parts of it to shorten roads. There was a history of the Commons and the roads around and through it, followed by An Act in
addition to ... an act to authorize the enclosing of a part of the Cambridge Commons, 1831. The Commissioners of Middlesex County were authorized to
locate any road in the Commons that public necessity might require. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts
