SEE ALSO 52204 On January 28, 1831, Mr. Tufts offered amendments to the ratable estates bill. Manufacturing companies were to have their property assigned to the company as an entity, not to the shareholders and an agent of a company had to swear an oath that what the assessor had listed as the company's property was in fact correct.
