Joint Comm. to Provide a Fire-proof Records Room. Report, 1831
|
|
Senate No. 24 A Committee considered the construction of a fireproof space for the state's records. In February 1831, it sent down a report. The consultants said the State House itself was completely inappropriate for such a structure and recommended a purpose built addition to the building. A plan and estimate were said to be included, but such was not in this copy. Resolved: The Governor was authorized to build an extension on the State House for not more than $7,000. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
