SEE ALSO 52163 Senate No. 14 On February 1, 1831, the Committee on Banks and Banking reported a bill. An Act to extend the charters of the banks
therein named, 1831. The charters of fifty-nine banks were extended for twenty years, but if the capital stock of any named bank was found to be
deficient, the bank had one year to fix the problem or it would lose its charter. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the
