Senate No. 11 On June 3, 1830, the Committee on the Judiciary was directed to consider whether any changes were necessary to laws on double
pleadings. An Act respecting the pleadings in suits at law, 1831. To serve justice, Courts had the discretion to allow several pleas by either the plaintiff
