House No. 4 A Select Committee presented An Act providing in certain cases for the election of Mayor of the City of Boston, 1830. Whenever no
candidate had a majority of the votes, the Board of Alderman was to organize in its usual fashion and call for a date and time for each ward in the City
to have another election for Mayor. The City, at a legal meeting, had to formally adopt the text of this act. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of
