|

Senate No. 15 On February 15, 1828, the Joint Committee on Pauper Acccounts reported on its response to a communication from Daniel Couch on the
subject of pauper accounts. The Committee held a public hearing in Tyringham and heard testimony about several people who were registered as paupers and
for whom the town received state money in support, but the people later were "able to labor." Even though it all looked fishy, the Committee decided
