House. Act to amend the Act to incorporate the Hampshire and Hampden Canal Company, 1827
SEE ALSO 51884 H.R. N0. 56 On February 20, 1827 the following act was ordered to be printed. This addition was passed on June 18, 1825. An Act in
addition to an act entitled an Act to incorporate the Hampshire and Hampden Canal Company. At a legal meeting of the company, it could reduce tolls,
base tolls on whether barges were empty or full, or base the toll on the contents of the barges. The company could not charge any more than was allowed
in the incorporating act. Should a judgment be executed against the company, no one had any personal liability for debts. Contrary to the original
act, now one share equaled one vote. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
