in certain cases, 1827. The Governor was to appoint three Wardens of the Pilots for Vineyard Sound. The Wardens were to issue warrants and license
pilots for the Sound. If a ship's master used an unlicensed pilot, he had to pay half the usual fee for a licensed pilot. Each pilot had to give a
$100 performance bond and pay the Warden $3 for the license. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State
