H,R, No. 4 An Act to prevent the demoralizing practice of sporting with domestic fowls or quadrapeds by shooting matches, 1827. Anyone who set up
or helped to set up a competition involving fowl or quadrapeds being shot at for gain or reward was liable to a $10-30 fine. Anyone who did the same
for shooting competitions without prizes was liable to a fine of $7-15. Any shooter was liable for a $5 fine. All officers of any locality were to be
