SEE ALSO 51670, 51705, 51710 On February 11, 1826, the Joint Committee on the Erection of a New Bridge over the Charles River delivered its report. It went through the pros and cons of such a bridge and decided it was not necessary. They did encourage the proprietors of the present bridge to consider a second draw.
