SEE ALSO 51686, 51688, 51715 On February 9, 1825 the Special Committee to study the Amherst College situation reported a few amendments to the bill.
The Legislature will select the Trustees, with seven clergy and 10 laymen. The College may confer the usual degrees, but not a medical degree. The
text appears to say that any student who wants to come will be admitted. If the Legislature thinks it expedient to move Williams College to Amherst,
