1822 Report of a House Committee to determine how to better support public worship in the state. After discussion, the committee proposed a bill which declared Protestant religious groups would be considered bodies politic and corporate religious societies with all the rights entitled by law. Membership provisions were also included in the bill. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
