1822 Report of the Joint Committee on Probate Judges, their salaries, fees, and other relevant issues in the Probate Courts. After discussion, the committee proposed a bill which established a uniform mode of proceeding in the Probate Court, and proscribing the fees for the judges and register of probate. Forms to be used in the administration of the court were also included. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).

The committee of both Houses, appointed to consider the "propriety of establishing, by law, salaries for judges and registers of probate;" who were also instructed "to consider the expediency of altering and changing the rate of fees now provided by law, for said officers;" and also "to prepare and report a bill, establishing a uniform mode of proceeding in the probate courts, in the several counties in this commonwealth, and prescribing fees for the judges and registers of probate," have had these subjects under their consideration.
