1751, Patent for Plymouth in New England
|
|
A 1751 printing of the land patent, granted in 1629, and known as the "Warwick/Bradford Patent," along with various extracts from Plymouth records. This patent, issued by the governing Council of New England, provided for a settlement which included the Plymouth Colony and territory on the Kennebeck River in Maine. Of note, William Bradford, governor of Plymouth Colony was the named party in this non-royal patent. In addition, mention (see page 6) was made of Captain Miles Standish as the Council's attorney.
