An Address entitled "Mr. Smith's Opinion, relating to Courts of Equity within the Colony of New York," which was in response to three petitions from the citizen of Westchester, New York City and Queens County. Mr. Smith discussed whether the King can, in England, erect a Court of Equity without the legislature's consent; and if not, whether the a Court of Equity within this Colony could legally have any authority without such consent.
