Description and Holding Information
Perm. Ct. Intl' Just., 1926a, Conf. of State Signatories, Off. Com. Rpt.
Conference of states signatories of the protocol of signature of the statute of the Permanent Court of International Justice; Report by M. Pilotti,
Rapporteur; Present to the Conference on September 23, 1926; (same title in French): n.a., 4/4p. on opposing pages, Publications de la Societé des
Nations, V. Questions Juridiques, 1926, V. 25, Geneva, n.p., Oct. 4, 1926. (All text in both French & English. Lacks TOC & index. The principal purpose of
this conference was the desire to mold a common response from the Signatories to the Court Protocol to five reservations from the United States
relating to the maintenance of its sovereignty, which the latter maintained would be a prerequisite to it’s acceptance of the Court’s jurisdiction. The
Conference was convened at Geneva in 1926 in an attempt to meet the U.S. demands. On 3 Sept. 26 it appointed a committee to come up with draft language
that might meet the U.S. concerns. The Committee’s report is contained in this document. The final act of the Conference, which incorporated most of
the Committee’s recommendations, is offered as LLMC Title 09631.)
