1914. (Lacks TOC & Index. This text is one of a series of annexes to the publication Juridical Settlement of International Disputes, which was issued
quarterly by the Society. It is denominated “August, 1914, No. 17”. A description of the purpose and organization of the Society starts on p. 25. A
roster of the Officers & Advisory Council to the Society as composed in 1910 starts after p. 21. Simeon E. Baldwin, 1840-1927, was a distinguished jurist,
law professor, author of significant texts in both law and history, jurist, and politician. Among many civic offices held, he served as both Governor
and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in Connecticut. He was also Director of the Bureau of Comparative Law of the American Bar Association, and
President at different times of the American Association of Law Schools, the American Historical Association, the American Political Science Association,
and the International Law Association. One of his signature accomplishments on the legal side was as a principal actor in the revival of the Yale Law
School between 1869-1919; during which years it rose from third tier rank to the leadership position it enjoys today. For other books by Baldwin on
