“November, 1913, No. 14”. The pages after p. 38 cover. miscellaneous matters respecting the Society. Henry Brown Floyd Macfarland, b. 1861, was an
influential American journalist who also served from 1900 to 1910, upon President McKinley’s appointment, as President of the Board of Commissioners of the
District of Columbia; effectively the city’s mayor. While fulfilling the later duties he also took a law degree at George Washington University, thus
setting himself up for a totally different career. The print text of the present title was scanned from a collection of similarly themed titles
assembled in Lincoln’s Inn Library pamphlet volumes LP 253/254.)
