Louis Nell's "Courts of Requests: Practical Treatise on their Constitution and Mode of Procedure," printed by W. Skeen, Government Printer in
Colombo, Ceylon in 1858. The Court of Requests was a court of inferior civil jurisdiction (small claims). Included in this treatise were some Supreme
Court decisions from 1845 to 1855, and some circulars, correspondence and forms which found in the appendix. There was also a subject matter index.
