L’Organisation Administrative en Haïti et l’Administration Américaine: by Paul-Th. Romain: (2)+5-17+(5)+23-194p, Port-au-Prince, n.p., 1929. (This
seems to have been an officially sanctioned attempt to put the best possible light on the government and administration of Pres. Borno toward the end of
the Ammerican occupation. Along with the text there is a large selection of photographs of personages in both the Haitian and American
administrations and in Haitian society generally. It appears that the publication was financed by the business community, and pp. 111-194 contain advertising
matter; which, with its many photographs, also sheds light on the Haiti of the period. A table of contents appears on {p. 20). All of the text is in
