Images digitized by LLMC from Reel #3 of the University of Florida Library’s microfilm Saint Domingue Collection. Rigaud was a leader of the mullato forces serving under Toussaint Louverture (T-L). He eventually fell out with T-L, and putting down his rebellion was one of the major obstacles facing T-L in his drive to unite the entire colony. Rigaud himself was able to excapte with his family to france, where he kept up the resistance to T-L among the colony’s exiled “people of color.”)
