Description and Holding Information
Vincent, Stenio, Affairs d'Emile Rigaud, 1951, assorted docs.
Stenio Vincent; Le affaires d’Emile Rigaud dit Milo; Pieces et documents judiciaires: n.a., books 1-4, Port-au-Prince, Imp. de l’etat, 1947-51, for
bk. 1-2 & 4, and the Society d’editions et de librairie, 1949, for bk. 3, all published. (The publishing history of this work is a bit ragged. The
first book was published by Imp. de l’etat, 1947. The second and third books, identified on the t.p.s as “V.II, Fasc. I” & “V. II, Fasc. II” were
published by Imp. de l’etat, 1948 & Soc. d’editions, 1949 respectively. The fourth book, identified on the t.p. as “Quatrieme et Dernier Fascicule,” was
published by Imp. de l’etat, in1951. To avoid confusion online, LLMC is treating these as a series, Books 1-4. The entire text is in French. Stenio
Vincent, 1874-1959, was President of the Republic from 18 Nov. 1930 to 15 May 1941. He led the opposition to, and presided over the termination in August
1934 of, the American occupation. Rigaud was the author of, among other works, the polemic Contre Vincent, 41p, Societe d’editions et de librarie,
1946.)
