traditional manner of reprinting the ordinances in a chronological sequence regardless of subject matter. Here the ordinances are grouped together in a
subject matter arrangement in alphabetical order. Vol. VI contains the Chronological Table and Index of Statutes. Nunan, then Attorney General of the
Colony, initiated this work, but left it incomplete when other duties for the Crown took him out of the Colony. The work was completed by Mackenzie,
Barrister and editor of the law reports in The Times.)
