Mo.). Reprint edition published by Scholarly Resources, Inc. (Wilmington, Delaware and London 1973). 284+v p. This volume includes a Proclamation of
the National Council of the Cherokee Nation on the Act of Nov. 19, 1874 authorizing the appointment of three Commissioners to ‘revise, amend and
codify the existing laws, and prepared such other new laws as the advanced condition of the Cherokee Nation demands.” Contents of the volume include the
proclamation; the text of the Constitution and code of laws, including court rules; an Appendix setting forth “laws of a general nature, not
inconsistent with the Code … so as to embrace in this volume all of the existing statutory laws of the Nation”; and an Index (table of contents).
